Note: NFPA 120 covers fire protection in coal mines including conveyor belts. FM Global DS 7-11 provides guidelines for belt conveyor fire protection in all industries. Use MSHA-approved fire-resistant belts per 30 CFR 75.1108. Provide belt slip/alignment switches, emergency stop pulls, and CO/heat detection.
