Note: High-piled storage requires a fire protection plan, automatic sprinkler system, and fire department access. Storage above 12 feet (or 6 feet for high-hazard) triggers IFC Chapter 32 requirements. ESFR sprinklers or in-rack sprinklers may be required for taller storage. Commodity classification per NFPA 13 determines sprinkler design.
