Note: Maximum allowable quantities apply per control area. A building may have multiple control areas (see IFC Table 5003.1.1(1)). When MAQ is exceeded, the area must be classified as Group H occupancy with additional requirements. The sprinkler increase effectively doubles the base MAQ.
